Review: Mixes from the Heartland!

I'm conscience of others' allergies and needs! I've had to be. One of my best friends in NC is deathly allergic to peanuts. So if I wanted to hang out with her - I had to be aware of anything that was even related to tree nuts! That meant reading labels and being more conscience.
Then when I moved to New York - our neighbor can't have gluten. I love our neighbors as if they were my parents. I bring them food that I cook all the time. Now B can eat it, but H has a hard time. I didn't realize the impact of gluten intolerance before I met him. So I wanted to change things around a little.
I found Mixes From the Heartland, and that all changed!
I'm a skeptic too! I didn't think that any of their food was going to taste good at all. Come on - anything that's good for you tastes like crap! Right? WRONG in this case and I'm so glad of it.
Our first thing to try was the gluten free chicken and chicken veggie soup mix! OMG! It was so good even my daughter ate some! Really! She's a 17 year old picky eater, and she loved it! And the price is so much better than getting the gluten free stuff from your local supermarket!
And the picky eater LOVES cornbread - did I tell you that they sent us some of that to try. Again, knew it was going to taste bland, flavorless and gross! I love when products can prove me wrong. The directions for making it seemed odd, but my daughter decided she wanted to make it. So I let her and it was PERFECT! To tell you how perfect it was - my neighbor ate a half of a pan all by his little lonesome! (B was not thrilled - she wanted to taste too!)
I'm telling you - yum yum! Now even though she's hamming it up in this picture - she really loved the cornbread and loved the fact that she made it herself.
I'm so taken with this product and this company that I have signed up to become an affiliate seller! I think that people can benefit from this product, every day! So if I can work with a company that makes the world better one person at a time, I'm all for it!
I'm still working on ironing out all the details of the affiliate program (I'm awfully blonde!) and when I do I will let you know how it works.
Thanks for stopping by - leave a comment if you can!
