Review: Mables Labels

12:01 AM Posted In , , , Edit This 2 Comments »
We've got kids! Between the two of us there are 5! That doesn't count my stepchildren from other marriages. But the ones that we worry about the most are the little ones. One of them has mild asthma and another just likes to GO! So Mable's Labels "My 411 Wristbands" are the best thing for a little peace of mind.

How many times have you turned to look at the rack of clothing at the giant superstore, or grabbed something from a shelf at the grocery store? Hundreds of times in your lifetime I am sure. And at every turn (if your kids are like mine) kids will try to test your ability to have a heart attack. Something interesting catches their eye an aisle over, they see candy at the end of the display and stop. You're panicked! But this label will enable you to know that when your precious bundle of joy will be found and you can yell at the top of your lungs to a safe toddler!

Now what is your child has a peanut allergy and you are sending him on a school trip? Mable's Labels have you covered there too. Our 6 year old goes to school with a boy who can't have peanuts and one of my best friends from NC (hi R) can't even be kissed by someone who has eaten peanut butter. So you can imagine the panic if someone doesn't know and gives that person something with peanuts. "Allergy Allerts" are the perfect thing for, again, some wonderful peace of mind!

Mabel's Labels in conjunction with The Product Review Place was kind enough to offer me a sample of their "Gift Labels" and I was extremely happy with the quality and design. I had a problem with the product showing up and I contacted the company. I was treated as if I was the only person in the world. Great customer service.

And lastly but certainly not leastly. (Hmmm, making up words again for my blog.) I wanted to talk to you about the adult side of Mabel's Labels. They have tags for your cords (I can't find any of my cords, if they could help me find them I'd never go anywhere else again! They have "Curbsides" that help label your trashcans. If you've ever lived in an apartment community, you know how important it is to have your own trashcan! (Which can disappear at the drop of a hat!)

I'll admit - some of these cords I wouldn't label - but a lot of them I would. Check out the variety you get!

Review: Prilla's Talent - Disney Fairies Graphic Novel

11:50 AM Posted In , , , , , Edit This 0 Comments »
There are comic books for boys, and they are pretty much like the Batman and Robin episodes from when I was a kid. POW! But really - that didn't excite me then, and I'm quite sure that it doesn't excite kids today. Yes, I know I am older than kids today - but I am still a giant kid at heart. (Admit it, you are too!)

So when I was given the opportunity to review Prilla's Talent from Paula Krapf over at BookBlogs, I grabbed it. Yes, part of it was for my 6 year old daughter, and most of it was for me. I love Tinkerbell (who's in there too) and anything Disney! Take a look at how wonderful this book looks!

<~~~~~~ Look at the wonderful COLOR graphics that appear on every single page. Each glossy page is filled with Disney magic and good lessons.

When my daughter saw this she said, "Wow, a comic book for me? I'm tired of C's comic books - they're for boys."

So kudos go out to Disney for making another quality product, a happy kid and a happy mommy too. Now to go see where you can get more.

Oh - did I tell you there was pixie dust on the cover. Always something a little magical about everything!

**Please see bottom of blog for disclosure statement. This book will now be donated to Colton Hepburn Library.**
