OK, J-Kaye did it again! She made me think about things. I hate it when she does that! But it's not totally her fault because it was Peter's fault to begin with!
Peter wanted us to take a look at our book shelves....so J-Kaye did. Her's (which aren't bookshelves) are in nice neat little piles. And the nice people that follow J-Kaye have theirs in neat shelves above stairs. Me? Not so much! Take a look!

I do want you to know that I made sure that the photos were very small when I put them in here so you couldn't see how very messed up they really are! But lets see if I can explain the method to my madness on this. The above shelves are as follows:
Shelf one: (Pardon me Peter for going into more detail here!) These are series and classics that I want to read and probably will be keeping. A Tale of Two Cities, The Great Gatsby, and The Dark Towers Series are up there.
Shelf two: These are the singles that I want to read, but if I don't it won't kill me. I will be giving these away, selling, or donating these sometime in the future. Some of these are ARC from when I worked at a book store, some are Nora Roberts that I HAD to have from yard sales some are from a old review buddy that was getting rid of some of her over kill!
Now the next pic.....don't judge me too harshly, really, I will read them all. Someday!

Shelf one: OK, these are my signed books. IS that shelf buckling? I have books on there from greats like Jeffrey Deaver, John Hart, and Anya Bast! SQUEE! Those will never leave my side. My friend Val has even been kind enough to send me some of her books that were signed, but don't tell her I told you that! :)
Shelf two: These are some that I want to read, and will eventually, there are books on cassette. HEY, QUIT LAUGHING, I HAVE A NINETEEN YEAR OLD VOLVO IN THE DRIVEWAY! In that stack is an accounting book that I may end up reading one year....or not! LOL.
Shelf three: The most important of them all is my Piers Anthony collection. (Peter, shame on you for not having read him. Start with the Incarnations of Immortality Series, if you want 8 great reads in Sci-Fi or Firefly if you want Horror. He is the one that wrote the book for Total Recall the movie!) I have about half oh Piers' bibliography and plan on getting more as I can, some year I will read them all and have them all as well.
So now that you know the slight dent in my book obsession, I hope you have a better insight into my brain. :) (There's more books upstairs, I just didn't want to show you!)
